College, Local School Districts Receive Smart Scholars Grant

(07/28/2011) SUNY Cobleskill President Dr. Donald P. Zingale has announced his retirement, effective August 3, 2011. Zingale was appointed the 11th president in SUNY Cobleskill history in January 2008, and was officially inaugurated on May 29, 2009.

Histotechnology Students Receive National Recognition
(06/20/2011) SUNY Cobleskill Histotechnology students Thomas Bushnell of East Berne, N.Y., Kristen Martin of Fishkill, N.Y., and Jun Jie Liang of Esperance, N.Y., are 2011 recipients of the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) National Student Honor Award recognizing excellence in the laboratory professions.

College Hosts 25th Annual Foundation Golf Tournament

Get Ready to Garden
(05/20/2011) Creating Healthy Places, lead by SUNY Cobleskill's Beard Wellness Center, is partnering with Cornell Cooperative Extension Schoharie County and Cobleskill Community Gardens to host Gardening Basics on Saturday, June 4, from 9 - 11 a.m. in the College's Curtis Mott Lounge. In addition, Creating Healthy Places has added additional beds to the Cobleskill Community Garden and there are plots open for the 2011 gardening season.

College Named to President Obama's Community Service Honor Roll
(05/19/2011) SUNY Cobleskill has been named to President Barack Obama's 2010 Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll, the highest federal recognition a college or university can receive for its commitment to volunteering, service-learning and civic engagement. It is the second straight year the College is recognized for engaging its students, faculty and staff in meaningful service that achieves measurable results in the community.

Two Faculty Members Receive 2011 Chancellor's Awards
(05/09/2011) SUNY Cobleskill Professor of Psychology Dr. Harald Abrahamsen and Director of Institutional Research and Assessment Jennifer Gray are recipients of the Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Faculty Service and the Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Professional Service, respectively. They will be recognized at the College's 93rd Commencement on Saturday, May 14 at 1 p.m.

Annual Plant Sale Set for May 7
(04/27/2011) SUNY Cobleskill's Plant Science department will hold its annual Spring Plant Sale on Saturday, May 7, 2011 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the campus' Hodder Hall. All the plants are grown by Plant Science students, and the funds raised will be used to support and enhance educational programs.
