SUNY Cobleskill Graduates Five in Meat Processing Program
(07/21/2010) SUNY Cobleskill's Meat Processing and Food Safety Certificate Program celebrated the graduation of five students, culminating the month-long intensive training, on July 2. The College is the only SUNY institution to operate a United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) approved meat processing facility.

SUNY Cobleskill Announces Changes to Athletic Department
(07/20/2010) SUNY Cobleskill is announcing the restructuring of its athletic department. Beginning this fall, the newly named Department of Sport and Exercise will oversee the College's 19 intercollegiate athletic programs and 300 student-athletes.

(07/14/2010) SUNY Cobleskill hosted its 24th annual Foundation Golf Tournament on Friday, June 25, at Cobleskill Golf and Country Club. Proceeds from the event will help secure the financial resources necessary to sustain scholarships held within the SUNY Cobleskill Foundation and Alumni Association, as well as professional development for faculty and staff.

Dairy Judging Team Competes Internationally
(07/14/2010) SUNY Cobleskill's Dairy Judging Team recently visited Edinburgh, Scotland, to compete in its third Royal Highland Show in June. The team of Ariel Garland of Springfield, Mass., and Elizabeth Trombley of Chateaugay, N.Y., placed first at the contest, and first and second, respectively, in the individual competition. Garland also placed second in the individual contest at the National Show in Luxembourg.

Paramedic Program Honored with NYS EMS Award Nomination

SUNY Cobleskill Ag Business Students Travel to Midwest
(07/12/2010) The Agricultural Business curriculum at SUNY Cobleskill offers an annual two credit course called Agricultural Business Field Studies. Field Studies are designed to provide students real world exposure to theories and concepts discussed in the classroom. For eight days beginning May 16, 2010, 50 Cobleskill students and five Cobleskill professors traveled to Western New York, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, and Ohio to experience and learn Agricultural Business practices and methodologies from contemporary Agricultural Businesses.
